Dr. Jeff Schrauben

Ophthalmologist

Dr. Jeff Schrauben was raised in Michigan and completed his undergraduate coursework at Michigan State University. Inspired by his experience with an ophthalmic mission trip to Peru, he then decided to attend The Ohio State University College of Optometry. He completed extensive internship training at the Eye Laser Center in Columbus, OH and in diagnosis and management of ocular disease at the W.G. Hefner Veterans Hospital in Salisbury, N.C. He also received training performing specialty contact lens fittings, co-management of surgical patients as well as extensive work in pediatrics and binocular vision.

Dr. Schrauben co-authored an article about volunteer eye care published on emedicine.com and regularly writes articles for the American Optometric Association Contact Lens and Cornea Section monthly newsletter read by over ten thousand fellow professionals. He is an active member of the Michigan Optometric Association as well as the American Optometric Association.

Dr. Schrauben is proud to have joined the Yaldo Eye Center in 2006 and enjoys the opportunity it affords him to excel in all levels of patient care. He currently resides with his wife in the greater Detroit area.
