The Safest LASIK: Intralase

NASA approves Intralase for astranauts
The Navy approves Intralase

Intralase is the safest method for creating the corneal flap. Using the IntraLase FS laser to create the corneal flap with a safe laser beam instead of a blade.

CONVENTIONAL LASIK

LASIK (or Laser In-situ Keratomileusis) is the most commonly performed type of laser vision correction. This procedure is quick, safe and effective. During the procedure, a thin flap is first created with either a blade or laser (IntraLase) in the outer layer of the cornea. The flap is then folded back on its hinge, and the precise and accurate excimer laser is used to remove minute amounts of underlying corneal tissue, thus reshaping the cornea and allowing the eye to correctly focus light on the retina.
